At 70, after a half-century teaching karate, Dennis Nackord still kicking

November 4, 2019 By MAO40 Staff

Dennis Nackord, a quite healthy 70-year-old karate instructor, has been teaching karate for 50 years and still continues to teach. He has his very own Nackord Karate System, which is a mix of different martial arts disciplines. He decided to learn martial arts after being unable to properly help a friend of his in a fight. He emphasizes the mental aspect of martial arts and being able to maintain one’s composure and truly learn and know one’s own potential.

Key Takeaways:

  • Dennis Nackord is a seventy year old man who still practices karate.
  • Dennis has been practicing karate for fifty years and teaches it as well.
  • He has no plans to retire because he loves what he does and his heart is still good.

“Boards don’t attack you, so you don’t need to break boards.”
