Detroit resident Richard Plowden is sharing his passion for martial arts. This resident has been practicing martial arts since a young age. Today he is a black belt and a world champion. He currently is teaching students as young as three and old as fifty years of age. Additionally, his family also practices the skill of martial arts. The resident sees martial arts as a family practice that helps other people, specifically people with diseases or sickness, cope and find a source of empowerment.
